Allan Spear Construction was awarded this contract on Wednesday, September 22nd and construction will start on Monday, September 27th. Working with our suppliers we can meet this fast turnaround which was required due to delays caused by a redesign of the project. As always, we will do all we can to meet the needs of our clients. In this case we will be able to get the project back on it's original schedule.
The plant, which is located just outside of Perry Florida, will have a foundation of pile caps, grade beams and piers. The slab on grade will have a trench drain which the middle third of the slab will slope down to. Due to the weight of the equipment that will be used the slab will be eight inches thick with #5 bars at ten inches on center each way. There will be concrete curbs throughout the plant. Ramps will also be needed to get equipment over the concrete curbs as well as for ADA compliance.
